Closing Plenary and Ceremony - A Call to Action

Parliament session featuring Phyllis: The Closing Ceremony is a momentous occasion that celebrates the collective knowledge, experience, and commitment of every participant at this 9th global Convening of the Parliament of the World’s Religions.

The plenary extends a special call to action and activism, emphasized by grassroots activists and community organizers who have been working tirelessly to promote social justice, human rights, and environmental sustainability in their communities. These speakers share their stories of struggle and resilience, inspiring others to join them in their efforts. Through a series of inspiring speeches, performances, and prayers, the global interfaith movement recommits to a shared vision for the future and the tangible actions needed to achieve it.

By coming together for this final celebration, participants at the 2023 Parliament of the World’s Religions demonstrate that communities of faith are united in all our diversity and committed to standing up for a more just, peaceful, and sustainable world.
